Seth A. Ravitz, Principal

Prior to founding SAR+, Mr. Ravitz was Vice President of Development and Construction for The Beacon Companies. During his 10-year career at Beacon, he also served as the Director of Planning and Construction for Beacon Properties Corporation and Project Manager for Beacon Construction. Throughout his tenure, he represented the owner’s interest on numerous construction, development, and acquisition projects. Mr. Ravitz’s project resume includes Boston’s 75 State Street and the historic renovation of Harvard University’s Weld Hall and the South Station Transportation Center. He was responsible for $50 million of tenant and capital improvement projects for Beacon’s $4 billion national REIT portfolio while simultaneously managing the due diligence process for $2 billion in REIT acquisitions. Mr. Ravitz also has extensive project experience in the fields of transportation and traffic planning, environmental remediation, asbestos abatement and management, and design compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) for renovation projects.

Mr. Ravitz presently serves on the boards of Jewish Community Housing for the Elderly and the Hebrew Rehabilitation Center Men’s Association. He is a member of Roslindale Village Main Streets and served as design committee chair and board member. Mr. Ravitz, a Massachusetts Licensed Construction Supervisor, is a member of the Central Artery Business Committee and Construction Managers Association of America. Mr. Ravitz received his Bachelor’s degree from Pennsylvania’s Wharton School and was trained as a planner at Cornell University's graduate program in City and Regional Planning.

Thea L. Offermann, Senior Associate

Thea L. Offermann joined SAR+ following a 16-year career with The Beacon Companies. During her career, Ms. Offermann managed a comprehensive due diligence process for 20 million s.f. of office property acquisitions totaling $3 billion. In addition she was responsible for lease, budget, and financial administration of a 6 million s.f. Portfolio of Class A commercial office and retail space. Ms. Offermann attended the Tufts University graduate program in Urban and Environmental Policy and Planning. She also holds a Bachelors and Masters Degree in Educational Psychology. Ms. Offermann has remained actively involved in the area of education, serving an enrichment teacher and tutor of Boston elementary school students.

Gary S. Walker – Associate

Mr. Walker brings sixteen years of varied experience in architecture and construction to SAR+. Mr. Walker has worked as a draftsman, estimator, project manager, and designer for architectural and design build firms in the United States and Europe. Most recently, he served as a project manager and designer for Janovsky Hurley Architects, Inc., Lexington, Massachusetts. Mr. Walker’s design experience includes projects of varied scales ranging from residential rehabilitation and new construction, to educational facilities, laboratory and retail space. He is experienced in schematic design, site analysis, budget control and value engineering, product research, construction documentation and project supervision. In addition, Mr. Walker has served as Owner’s Representative Construction Project Manager for the construction of a $350 million steel fabrication plant. .

Mr. Walker is an Associate Member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA). He received a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from the Boston Architectural Center, Boston, Massachusetts. Mr. Walker has also taught undergraduate courses in architecture at ITT Technical Institute, Framingham and the Boston Architectural Center, Boston, specializing in architectural theory, drafting, and project management.

Edward J. Skolski, Associate

Edward Skolski joined SAR+ in 2008 following a ten year career as a Project Architect for The Architectural Team, Inc. (“TAT”). Mr. Skolski is a seasoned professional with experience in project feasibility, design, value engineering, preparation of contract documents, and project administration including construction contract administration and coordination with government funding agencies including HUD, MHFA, DPH, and DHCD. The focus of Mr. Skolski’s work at TAT was the renovation, rehabilitation, and adaptive reuse of existing and historic buildings into multi-family housing. His project resume at TAT includes the historic rehabilitation of the East Canton Street Apartments and the Union Street Lofts for HallKeen Management, Braintree Village and Powdermill Village developments of E.A. Fish & Resident Community, and Riley House, the rehabilitation, expansion, and adaptive reuse of a former school undertaken by the Planning Office of Urban Affairs. Mr. Skolski received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Southern New Hampshire University.
